hi this is from a drama I watch called hollyoaks, if you heard of it just read the fic as I ship dodger and maxine together and this is the abuse storyline. but for people who havent seen hollyoaks, this fic is based on this soap opera, I really needed to write this as it was bugging me but still you may not understand it if you don't watch hollyoaks, sorry but yeah.

This is set where Maxine didn't reveal the abuse, she didnt escape patrick, she wasnt strong enough to get out as from the last epsiode on the 30th and the 29th them two got married and after saying yes and sitting down to the speeches, we saw her going to leave him but he grabbed her wrist and whispired how he was going to punish her for humiliating him in front of everyone, so when they were getting up she wasnt strong enough to walk off and he dragged her home to beat her as you may read. so basically it set where he's hurting her and she feeling like she has no hope till a certain someone the next day comes to see her.
